Video : British Indian Hindu Becomes UK’s Youngest Mayor Tushar Kumar has become the youngest-ever Indian-origin mayor in the United Kingdom at just 23 years old, taking charge of the Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council. The young Labour councillor was first elected at age 20 while studying at King's College London. Kumar has focused on youth engagement, digital accessibility and preserving Indian culture among British-Indian communities through free Hindi classes and multicultural events.
